Wesley Williams: Associate Veterinarian

Dr.Williams

Dr. Williams grew up on a small farm in East Texas, around Tyler. It was here, on the farm, that he realized working with animals was what he wanted to do as a career. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Animal Science at Texas A&M in 2004 and his DVM in 2010.

Professionally, Dr. Williams enjoys internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, emergency medicine, and dentistry. One of the things he appreciates most about working at Hillside is that the other doctors and staff are very knowledgeable and always have the patient’s best interest in mind. “One of the great things about Hillside is that there are always multiple doctors around, so you can utilize them as a resource and get different opinions and ideas about cases. Ultimately this can really benefit the patient, and it contributes to the learning environment here at Hillside.”

When he is not at work, Dr. Williams enjoys riding horses and snow skiing with his brother. He spends much of his off-time serenading his two chocolate labs and two dachshunds with acoustic performances on his guitar by the fire. He is an accomplished beginner in the piano, cello, and violin as well. When he feels the need for speed, he fashions a swift and careless sports car ride. He basks in the glow of the holidays by listening to Christmas music starting in October. We all Hail to this chief, as he is President of the "Lonesome Dove” and “John Wayne" fan clubs. Currently, Dr. Williams is working towards his ultimate goal of becoming a hair model. All kidding aside, Dr. Williams enjoys long walks around White Rock Lake, candle light dinners, James Bond movies, and classical ballroom dancing. He also appreciates a good pair of boat shoes, Pumpkin Spice lattes, Yo-Yo Ma solos, and the Australian culture. Truly, he is Hillside's secret weapon.
