Sarah Huskey, DVM

A self-described "country girl" from west of Ft. Worth, Sarah Huskey still enjoys working with the cows and horses at her parents' ranch, like she did as a girl. Thus it seemed only natural that she would earn her B.S. in animal science at Texas Tech University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University.

After three years of mixed animal practice experience in Greenville, TX, Dr. Huskey became an associate veterinarian at Hillside, and in 2000 she became partners with both Dr. Bain and Dr. Chritton.

She enjoys being a part of the efficient and compassionate Hillside team. She appreciates the skilled and personable staff members, who help serve her patients and clients each day. She embraces the changing and challenging aspects of veterinary medicine with energy and optimism. Working with patients and clients continues to bring her personal satisfaction. Particularly, she enjoys the long-term relationships she has with her clients and patients.

Dr. Huskey believes that being a doctor at Hillside means that she can work together with her colleagues on cases and ensure that her patients get the best possible diagnosis and treatment plan possible. She says, "Being a part of a team of veterinarians allows for ongoing growth and development as practioners." She feels the result is the highest standard of patient care and pet owner trust and from both of those things come...peace of mind.

Dr. Huskey and her dogs, Kona and Mia enjoy going to the ranch whenever possible. In Dallas, she runs with her dogs, bikes and works in her yard and garden. Her cats, Oscar and Lilly remain content to explore the indoors.
